SUMMARY
Responsibilities of the position include working as a team member in the Marketing department; interacting with prospective residents and families by arranging tours of the facility, answering questions, completing new resident paperwork. This position acts a liaison to other departments as the primary point of communication for new residents and in-house transfers. This position will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with all aspects of resident transition to the community. The Senior Housing Specialist must be approachable, customer service driven and passionate about working in a geriatric environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent Friendship Village to prospective residents and family members, and conduct tours of the Village.
Review floor plans and cost with prospective resident and family.
Work with prospective resident and family to arrange move to the community.
Stay attuned to the marketplace, including competitors to be able to identify trends and competitive changes in the marketplace.
Maintain record of apartment and cottage inventory.
Maintain record of lead and pending resident move in information to the community.
Represent Friendship Village at external marketing events at the direction of the Marketing Director.
Strong customer service, analytical and problem solving skills essential.
Excellent organization, follow up, and time management skills.
Other duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, and or move 25-50lbs occasionally.
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises.
Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
Is subject to call back during emergency conditions.
May be involved in community/civic health matters/projects.
Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel and department supervisors.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
