HVAC/Facilities Technician
The ideal candidate will maintain, diagnose and correct HVAC system problems. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for better performance by using acquired experience, special tools and diagnostic equipment.
Position Requirements:
Provides preventive maintenance on heating, cooling and refrigeration systems.
Troubleshoots and Installs / services air conditioning, heating, and control systems.
Reviews and interprets work order forms, operating instructions, diagrams, building plans and mechanical equipment drawings.
Starts, operates, repairs and maintains various types of heating and air conditioning plant and associated equipment.
Installs, repairs and calibrates various makes of pneumatic and/or electric controls required for the operation of equipment and the control of temperature and humidity.
Maintains and repairs motor controllers and associated electrical equipment and control circuits.
May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required.
Education/
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience specific to the commercial/industrial HVAC industry
Knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the trade.
Knowledge of the operating principles and characteristics of the various types of pneumatic/DDC control systems in addition to a knowledge of basic electricity.
Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprint, specifications, and schematics.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, or stand, and lift/ move heavy objects.
