Job details Description Apogee Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and research-oriented individual to join the Science and Technology (S&T) division as a senior AI architect. In this role, the architect will join a think tank focused on pushing specific AI capabilities in the cyber, space, and ISR domains. The architect will lead the internal AI research and development efforts while assisting the Chief S&T strategist in developing a technological roadmap for the company. Candidates are expected to have a working knowledge base in neuromorphic and cognitive architectures; contextual and explainable AI while demonstrating experience in applying any AI architecture (novel or existing) to cyber, space, or ISR problems. What you'll be doing:
Lead internal research and development efforts in AI and machine learning (ML) Write white papers and support proposals for external funding Develop multi-purpose and transferrable AI/ML capabilities for cyber, space, and ISR domains Design and develop contextual and explainable AI for cognitive engine development Study state-of-the-art (SOA) AI architectures and recommend suitable solutions that meet or exceed SOA for our customers Develop a 5-year, 10-year, and 15-year technological advancement roadmap with relevant SWOT analysis and opportunity pipeline Support customer-funded research and services efforts Build a team of AI engineers and researchers to grow our AI R&D capabilities What you'll need:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance up to TS/SCI Bachelor's Degree in any related Science or Engineering field with 10
years relevant experience OR Masters in any related science or engineering field with 8
years relevant experience. Master's degree HIGHLY preferred 5
years of experience in R/Rstudio (ggplot, dplyr, h2o, keras), Python3 (SciPy, keras/TF2(gpu), OpenCV, JuPyTer), LabVIEW, SQLite, JMP, MatLab; VBA, Fortran, C, Java, Assembler 5
years of experience in Design and Analysis of Experiments (DOE), Measurement Capability Analysis (MCA), Statistical Process Control (SPC). Time-Series Classification, Statistical Simulations (including Monte-Carlo), and Applied Statistical Modeling using Neural Networks 3
years of experience in cognitive engine development, deep learning architecture design, development, and implementation 3
years of experience in applying AI/ML to defense-related cyber, space, or ISR problems where image feature detection and end-to-end toolchain development has been demonstrated 3
years of experience in defining and evaluating attentional AI/ML architectures to achieve desired accuracy levels on specialized tasks 3
years of experience in performing extensive analog signal data analysis for classification tasks
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
