VP Sales - Corporate Legal and State Net at Relx Group in Dayton, OH

LexisNexis North America is looking for a VP of Sales to lead our Corporate Legal and State Net sales organization. The VP Sales will directly lead a team of Regional Sales Managers and oversee a 100-employee sales organization in achieving consistent and profitable growth in sales. This individual will also be responsible for driving customer and employee satisfaction along with market penetration in the corporate space. Accountabilities 1. Takes a leadership role in developing the sales plan for the business unit 2. Leads the sales team in meeting or exceeding revenue targets. 3. Interfaces with Executive Staff and other LexisNexis and RELX businesses to identify synergies and pursue partnering to drive solution sales. 4. Spearheads the development, communication, and implementation of effective sales strategies and processes, including but not limited to strategic selling, value selling, messaging, customer success and salesforce efficiency 5. Collaborates cross functionally to develop and recommend long term sales plans, strategies, and budgets for the region. 6. Attracts, recruits, and retains top talent. Motivates and leads a high-performance management team. 7. Provides leadership and management to ensure adoption and practice of the RELX core values. 8. Defines measurable expectations of each role within the business unit. Evaluates performance against expectations of all staff. Achieve world-class sales metrics. 9. Interacts with corporate legal and compliance customers and prospects positively and with added value. Maintains relationships with key accounts. 10. Provides training, measurements and feedback enabling staff to excel in all areas of sales activities (pipeline management, training, pricing, etc.). 11. Constantly reviews the region for optimum structure and performance. 12. Acts as a liaison to ensure that market information flows from the sales organization to the product and marketing organizations. 13. Drives agile and continuous improvement activities and mindset across the commercial organization, and ensures decisions are data driven, and appropriate goals and metrics are in place 14. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; MBApreferred. 2. 10 or more years of successful sales management experience with at least 6 years of sales management experience in a related business-to-business environment, including information services, data, software, or the Internet. 3. Directly applicable and transferable experience in selling complex solution offerings with a team selling approach; preferably experience in leading a sales organization through a digital transformation or similar. 4. Proven ability to develop executive level customer relationships and leverage relationships for sales. 5. Solid understanding of new business and account management sales motions, pipeline management, and solution selling. 6. Sound knowledge base of information industry and technology. 7. Solid strategic thinking and analytical capabilities. 8. Budget management and resource allocationexperience. 9. Strong overall business skills; strategic planning, competitive assessment, product development, and pricing are critical. 10. Deep understanding of Strategic Selling, Value selling, and CRM systems 11. Proven ability to successfully lead and manage by influence within a highly complex and matrixed organizational structure. 12. Solid track record of success in leading growth by acquiring and retaining strategic customers. 13. Solid oral and written communication skills. 14. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. 15. Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Sales Management & Operations, SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
