Assists residents with activities of daily living; including, but not limited to gathering residents for meals, physical fitness, group activities, outings.
Supervise and ensure residents are accounted for.
Assists in supervising the maintenance of all necessary equipment and supplies to the program.
Ensures resident safety through maintaining confidentiality, verbal de-escalation techniques, and knowledge of policies and procedures regarding emergencies, performing security and safety checks and reports all resident issues to Housing Manager.
Effectively transitions residents and orients the new residents with activities of daily living.
Follows all discharge and return protocol.
Completes med monitoring accurately and thoroughly, following all policies and procedures.
Respond to all emergency codes effectively efficiently.
Participates with residents in activities.
Monitor for visitors or other prior residents who may come into the facility with possible contraband and evaluate for agency resident safety.
Conducts unit rounds thoroughly, keeping in mind unit safety and milieu management; accurately document rounds and safety checks on shift log.
Demonstrates professional demeanor in dealing with all resident interactions, keeping in mind customer service standards, i.

Accurately reports all relevant resident interactions or observable, potentially problematic behaviors to the Housing Manager, in a timely manner.
Maintains residents' confidentiality continuously in all interactions with the visitors and other individuals.
Utilizes skills of observation and training to assist in educational sessions and reports resident behaviors and interactions to the Housing Manager.
Assures that binders and shift logs contain all appropriate information, forms, are complete, labeled and filed every shift.
Completes searches for contraband on all admissions and as needed.
Initiates urine drug screens as seen fit and transfers to nursing to be completed.
Attends in-service training, seminars, and participates in other educational activities, as assigned/required.
Performs other duties as assigned and/or requested.

The Housing Tech is responsible for assisting the residents in reintegrating into the community.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in an area of specialty or health care setting, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Must have CPR certification before the start date Knowledge and Training required at the time of hire:
Exposure to clients and potentially hazardous circumstances.
Sometimes long, irregular hours and possible holiday duty.
Possible exposure to infectious and bio-hazardous material.

Non-exempt This position requires work in a temperature-controlled environment 80-90% of the time.
You may need to operate a Computer, Fax Machine, Telephone System, Elevator.
Large amounts of time may be spent walking or standing, with moderate amounts of bending and crouching and little time spent sitting, reaching, or reading.
Routine tasks may involve exposure to blood or other bodily fluids/tissues.
There is a medium risk of Workplace Violence.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
