MVHIndependently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols.
Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment.
Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department.
Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
May have on call responsibilities.
Essential Duties & FunctionsPerforms US procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates Ultrasound studies for technical image quality.
Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the US procedure.
Performs daily and weekly QC as required.
Practices sterile technique as required.
Assists Cardiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.
Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfactionAssesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
Thoroughly educates patients about exam.
Ensures that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required, performs clerical duties when necessary, verifies a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
Maintains knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.
Proficient to provide quality scans for high acuity procedures, including but not limited to:
Mitral Clip, Watchman, TAVR, TMVR, Impella, valvuloplasty, myomectomy, & pericardiocentesis.

Registry in practiced specialty is required as approved by ARDMS:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI.
CPR Certification requiredActive member of ARDMS or CCI in UltrasoundExperienceExperience Required:
No prior job-related work experiencePreferred
Experience:
6 to 12 months of clinical experience in UltrasoundKnowledge/SkillsProficient in performing diagnostic procedures and obtaining diagnostic images for physician interpretationProficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Proficient in CCW/CCI and Image StorageAdvanced US applicationsProficient in scanning high acuity patients Recommended Skills Cpr Clinical Works Health Care Image Quality Imaging Medical Emergency Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
