Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or an Associate's degree and four years of experience, or a high school diploma and six years of experience.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Experience in writing, editing and budget management.
Ability to calculate basic math.
Proven admin or assistant experience.
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Attention to detail and strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications Essential Functions and percent of time:
35% Provide high-level administrative support for all President activities.

Manage operations of the office, carrying out a broad and complex set of assignments on behalf of the President, taking appropriate independent action as needed.
Review and approve leave requests (vacation and sick leave) for President direct reports.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the office.
Develop procedures and systems to ensure productive and efficient office supervision.
Initiate, compose, and prepare correspondence and reports as directed.
Anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise and advise the President accordingly.
Review all communication directed to the President , including electronic mail.
Prioritize attention to corresponded.
Track and conduct follow-up on issues as appropriate.
Provide input to the President on various issues related to the university.
Handle sensitive issues that require confidentiality.
Coordinate President initiatives and special assignments.
Exercise signature authority for the President when appropriate.
35% Manage President's schedule.
Collect and organize data required for same.
Respond to inquiries from internal and external constituencies as appropriate.
Meet with unscheduled visitors and provide response or make referrals to appropriate unit or person.
Investigate, resolve, or redirect problems/concerns that come before the President.
Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):
30% Serve as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with Cabinet, Council of Deans, and Faculty Governance, collectively, and with each Vice President, Dean, Vice Provost, and Faculty President individually.
Research and gather information to develop recommendations or directives originating from the Office of the President.
Recommend and develop agendas and materials for President meetings.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
