Mid Job DescriptionHuntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a qualified candidate for Hardware Engineer with experience using LabVIEW, FPGA, and Real-Time modules to create robust data acquisition, timing, and control software interfaces.
Essential Functions:
oCreate or modify LabVIEW, FPGA and Real-Time software to meet testing needs for current or upcoming programs oCreate test operational documents to support current and modified programs.
oFull lifecycle application development.
Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
oSoftware analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.
oTesting and quality assurance.
Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
oSupport, maintain and document functionality.
Integrate software with existing systems.
oDesign, implement, maintain, and improve electrical test equipment and components.
oOperate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
oTest experience with signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
Essential Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties:
electronics, electrical, or mechanical.
Minimum Qualifications 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
Bachelor of Science in applicable engineering or science field preferred, however candidates with relevant equivalent work experience will be considered (HS Diploma and 8
years experience) Minimum secret clearance required to start work Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance with enhanced security checks Preferred Requirements Progressive experience using LabVIEW , LabVIEW Real-time, and LabVIEW FPGA HDL (Verilog/ VHDL) simulation/ programming/ debug Experience with Xilinx FPGA/MPSoC/RFSoC projects and Xilinx toolsets (ISE and / or Vivado) Experience with High-Level Synthesis Tools such as MATLAB HDL Coder Experience with model-based design (specifically Simulink) Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques, theory and high-throughput implementation Physical RequirementsOffice environment.
Capable of working while seated for extended periods of time and staring at/operating computers and monitors.
