Senior Job DescriptionHuntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies is seeking a Senior RF or Electronic Systems Engineer with expertise and technical competence in solving complex system-of-systems engineering problems.
This individual provides technical leadership of all phases of hardware and software design, analysis, development, integration, implementation, verification and validation of complex engineering systems.
The work includes analyzing and developing requirements as well as determining appropriate use of technologies in solving complex engineering problems.
This individual should also have strong verbal skills to effectively lead and direct engineering design and analysis efforts to include customer interactions, as part of a team.
The use of appropriate software tools to layout and document designs is a core part of the work.
A strong Testing and Evaluation background is highly desired along with a controls and instrumentation background if possible.
Essential Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties:
electronics, electrical, computer, mechanical or related engineering fields.
Must be a self-starter, have the ability to consistently deliver at a high level with minimum supervision and maintain continuous communications with subordinates, peers, test customers and upper management personnel Job Requirements Minimum Secret clearance required to start Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ enhanced security checks Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Degree 10
years' experience in related field Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Good verbal communication skills Radar Hardware Design, Test and Evaluation (T&E) Software to include MATLAB RF, Fire Control Radar or EW Background Test & Evaluation (T&E) knowledge Experience in anechoic chamber design, use and sustainment to include calibration schemes, multi-path analysis, and optimization.
Desired Skills Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Degree Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques, theory and high-throughput implementation Hardware in the Loop (HITL) experience Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience Software Programming, ideally knowledge of SIMULINK and C+
Capable to read and manipulate Altium / Orcad / AutoCAD / Multisim Physical RequirementsOffice or industrial environment.
Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
