Senior Software Engineer with Security Clearance
Overview VTG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our customer at Wright Paterson AFB, OHThis is an onsite roleWhat will you do? The SrSoftware Engineer will accomplish Software Engineering Management tasks and interact with the organizations or any external agencies required including base facility, personnel, security, computer support, foreign disclosure, foreign travel, public affairs, test organizations and the building managers to facilitate and support uninterrupted day-to-day operationsProvide support of the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipmentHave experience reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Deviation (RFD), and maintain system configuration baselines and participate in Technology Insertion discussions, Configuration Control Boards (CCB), and Technical & Programmatic Reviews.
o Have knowledge of software engineering in support of the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software systems.
o Provide software engineering support for embedded software, software interfaces, cryptographic systems and interoperability in sensor, weapon, host platform, and communications and command and control systems:
including software analysis, Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf interfacing and performance analysis, software architecture review, software development processes, configuration management processes and tools assessment, and software test systems and capabilities.
o Assist in the application of an understanding of systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
o Assist in reviewing/developing/updating of applicable program documentation for software engineering requirements.
o Support the development of the software development strategy and software development plan (SDP).
o Assist in the application of an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics Operational Flight Program capabilities to support the core engineering tasks as they relate to software engineeringDo you have what it takes? Required Skills:
o Possess the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possesses the ability to perform tasks, and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional disciplineShall demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertiseA Senior skill level typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
o Minimum Education and Experience is a MA/MS Engineering and ten years of experience in Software Engineering programs or,o An ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering and twenty years of experience in Software Engineering programsTravel:
