40 Job Details:
Central Distribution provides employees with an opportunity to support the hospital through delivering and maintaining supply levels around various locations while helping build relationships with other departments.
Condition of employment:
Must be 21 years of age to be eligible to be covered by DCH drivers insurance.
This is a 1st shift position.
Monday - Friday, every other weekend and generally 2 holidays per year.
Department Specific Job Details:
1.
Inventory Management ( 40%) Accurately receives incoming shipments of supplies and equipment in the MMIS system; verifying the correct counts, catalog numbers, verifying the condition of goods, printing delivery and/or put-away documents.
Participates in the cycle counts for conducting physical inventories.
Resolves invoice and receiving problems resulting from over-shipment, damaged goods, packing slip discrepancies and shipment of items not ordered 2.
Distribution Functions ( 40%) Using pick tickets, pulls orders, verifying quantity, a unit of measure, and item/manufacturer numbers.
Reports stock outs to the supervisor.
Confirms picks in the MMIS.
Delivers products and secures electronic signature.
Performs courier functions by following establishing routes and delivering and picking up various items.

Orderly Work Environment ( 10%) Maintains a clear and orderly environment for self and others.
Keeps inventory items tidy and well organized.
Stores materials and supplies in assigned locations.
Ensures that aisles are clear and items staged for delivery are placed in areas where they will not be damaged.

Organizational/Planning Skills ( 5%) Accomplishes daily workload coherently and with the means to achieve the end of a task.
Appropriately sets priorities, taking care of assigned daily tasks first, and then following through with peripheral tasks, such as filling in for others, working on departmental projects, or cleaning.
Demonstrates appropriate follow through on tasks.

Documentation ( 5%) Demonstrates the ability to complete shipping forms for outbound packages.
Uses the online shipping systems for the appropriate shippers.
Demonstrates good filing techniques, is able to retrieve receiving and delivery documents when needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
