Responsibilities:
The Claims Specialist serves as a primary contact for the processing and management of accidents and claims relating to Risk Management Manage accidents for all lines of coverage including workers compensation, liability, auto, and property for the Company Analyze and evaluate accident/claim reports and work with others internally to understand extent of loss and applicability to insurance and/or liability Work with third party administrators in managing all workers compensation injuries based on state laws Assist the Risk Manager with the analysis of cost regarding workers compensation injuries Assist in the development and implementation of an effective post-loss injury program Manage and oversee and TWAP light duty program Collaborate with legal counsel, adjusters, and other appropriate personnel on pertinent claims matters Assist the Risk Manager on losses and negotiate settlements, within established authority Oversee claims management and claim litigation processes Assist with large dollar claims and legal case management for TPA Analyze loss data to identify trends, establish relevant benchmarks and identify the most effective cost containment strategies Work with the Risk Manager and field Safety Managers to develop a strategy to reduce the frequency of injuries and equipment losses Work with the field Safety Manager to establish and support Safety Committees as appropriate Review documentation, accident photos, employee/witness statements, and police reports and make determination of liability as needed Process estimates, invoices, payments, and/or external adjusting service fees for approval Negotiate settlements, authorize payments and collect needed forms to resolve claims matters Manage subrogation files for damages to Dayton Freight equipment/property caused by third party Work with the Maintenance department to collect Dayton Freight repairs and invoices and record payment information Determine if use of third party administrator is appropriate for claims Maintain legal files as necessary Pull, review and update various reports relating to safety, accidents and injuries Continuously evaluate processes for efficiency improvements Become a Risk Management liaison for accident and insurance questions for internal and external customers and/or partners
Qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma Possess knowledge of multi-state workers' compensation laws, cost management and return to work practices Possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to present information in an appropriate manner to various groups including executive management, peers and external partners

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
