SUMMARY
The Quality
manager
is responsible for maintain the Quality Management System under the requirements of ISO9001:2008, AS9100C, NDACAP, and FAA FAR Part 145 Approved
repair
and Overhaul Station for the Aerospace and
electronics
Division and the Aerospace Wiring Solutions Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

To develop, document and obtain necessary approvals of the Quality System, including: policies, objectives, organization, plans, procedures and maintain our ISO 9001:2008, AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA FAR Part 145 Approved Repair and Overhaul Station.

To establish the methods and standards for the measurement of quality performance and to report performance and trends to management of the company's progress against the standards established.

To develop, document and implement the procedures, plans, standards, and techniques necessary for the operation of the Quality Department.

To review and help determine the adequate facilities, equipment and personnel necessary for the performance of all Quality efforts based on current production schedule and/or backlog.

To analyze the quality costs data to determine cost trends and identify areas of excessive cost.

Issue to management a monthly total quality cost, to include scrap/rework and identify what the problem cost areas are which require investigation and corrective action.

The review of implementation and evaluation of effectiveness of internal and external corrective action responses, to include publication of a monthly report on the effectiveness of the action taken.

To act as chairman of the Material Review Board and represent the Quality Department in all action taken.

To perform cost evaluation and report of customer returns and the cost associated in returning customer returns.

To perform supplier quality surveys, review supplier's quality history and/or quality rating to assist Purchasing Department in the selection of qualified suppliers.

The review and preparation of proposals/quotes for special quality requirements, estimated quality labor, special provisions or techniques, cost of meeting special requirements, and/or special equipment requirement.

To coordinate Quality activities with all other departments for the most effective operation of the Quality system.

To act as liaison with outside agencies (vendor, customer, government) on all matters pertaining to quality.

Capital Budget responsibility for the Quality Department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises up to ten employees in the Quality Assurance Department. (Quality Technicians, Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering Trainers and Receiving Departments.) Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS/Certifications

Minimum of 10 years experience in a Quality Manager role. Operations Management experience a plus. ASQ - CMQ/QE Certification preferred. Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. SME Lean Bronze, Silver or Gold certification a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and three to five years' experience.

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, SQL Server).
Q1 Macros or equivalent statistical tool.
Visual ERP or equivalent ERP experience.
Visio or equivalent process flow diagram tool.
WinSPC or equivalent in-process SPC tool.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community
. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Experience with Design of Experiments a plus.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and component datasheets. DMAIC or Plan, Do, Check, Act problem solving experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong problem solving ability necessary for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
