JOB TITLE: F-22 Weapons Systems Engineer (SME)
PROJECT Overview:
You will be an important member of an acquisition support team providing continued program expertise in F-22 life cycle management in support of the F-22 Program Office. You will perform this work in the F-22 Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As a highly skilled professional you will be a member of a team of acquisition experts who will provide on-going support for the maintenance, upgrade, and modernization of the F-22 aircraft.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND
Responsibilities:
The F-22 Armament Engineering SME provides high-level, expert advice and assistance in support of management, technical, organizational and business improvement or investigative efforts for armament integration to the F-22 Modernization development program.
Supports planning and organization requirements for the management of critical aspects of the armament development, production, and/or deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment. Provides expert advice on policies and procedures for the procurement of Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment throughout their life cycles. Recommends options for the most efficient and effective means to plan and contract for the armament transitions.
Provides technical management insight and assists in the weapons integration development for F-22 and Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) AIM-120D for the re-phasing of Increment 3.2, future data link for Increment 3.2, AIM-9X Sidewinder, GBU-32 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), and M61A2 20mm gun system.
Provides technical analysis and recommendations relating to weapon system sustainment impacts identified in action requests and deficiency reports.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
More than ten years of weapons engineering experience with the F-22 or a similar systems acquisition planning, development and sustainment processes.
Bachelor's Degree in a discipline associated with the work being performed under this contract.
Meet the SAR program access requirements.
Minimum of five years of recent experience performing the same or similar work.
Senior program management experience with the F-22 or a similar systems acquisition planning, development and sustainment.

Advanced Degree
Operational experience with the F-22 aircraft
