Production Supervisor

Our client is a custom manufacturer of flexible film packaging. They develop packaging and systems that keep produce, meat, dairy and other foods fresher longer, while blocking out contaminants.
This company is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for their Dayton area production facility
The successful associate will be a front line supervisor for the blown extrusion production shift and supervise a manufacturing team of approximately 6-12 people. It is a rotating 2 week schedule with 12 hour long shifts. He or she will ensure that the shift maintains a high level of productivity while ensuring that our quality levels are met at all times. This position reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing.
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Consistently inspects production to ensure the product is being run according to the specifications of the job; takes corrective action to resolve problems
o Coordinates with other shifts and departments to provide quality product for our customers.
o Maintains accurate production and quality control records on a daily basis.
o Responsible for all shift production employees and equipment in the facility
o Actively maintains a safe working environment to prevent accidents and injuries
o Performs administrative duties such as associate counseling forms, vacation requests, and performance reviews.
o Ensures timely, clear and effective communication with management, peers, and associates.
Requirements and Skills:
o Able to work independently
o Detail-oriented possessing excellent organizational, time management, and follow up skills
o Excellent interpersonal communication skills
o Able to effectively analyze and interpret the shift and workload to maximize productivity and minimize scrap.
o Computer literate with proficiency utilizing software products such as: MS Word, Excel and Email applications
o Able to calculate amounts such as proportions, percentages, area and volume
Education and/or
Experience:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and 5 years of supervisory experience in the plastics industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in blown film preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
