Summary:
Responsible for assisting physicians with the provision of medial services to patients and for performing the clerical duties of the outpatient clinic.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistant, certification preferred.
Experience:
Computer experience required.
Be thorough with attention to detail
Good organizer and know how to set priorities.
Able to use initiative and good judgment.
Demonstrate a caring and positive attitude to patients, visitors and staff.
Develop/Maintain good working relationships with nursing, medical staff and the public.
Handle problems and complaints in a constructive manner.
Good physical and emotional health: Ability to lift, turn, and assist immobile patients as necessary. Ability to work effectively under pressure/stress
Able to perform work in open areas with many interruptions by patients and staff.
Ability to relate and work with others.
Be loyal, dependable and honest.
Work Environment: An interdisciplinary working environment within patient care areas where possible exposure to infection (germs, bacteria, viruses, etc.) exists.
