Altamira is searching for a Junior PIR Engineer/Scientist with an active TS/SCI security clearance, to support our growing work with a government customer in Dayton, Ohio
Job
Responsibilities:
Perform R&D on data from Persistent Infrared (PIR) sensors
Improve automated signal processing, improve other existing algorithms and tools, and develop new techniques for automated detection and tracking.
Investigate methods of deriving target performance metrics and detection features data.
Improve image processing techniques and investigate, develop, and implement methods for characterizing targets based upon observable features and derived metrics.
Investigate state-of-the-art machine learning classification methods to classify elements
Qualifications, Required Skills, and
Experience:
5
years of experience with R&D of sensor data and algorithm development
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or other related technical field
Knowledge and experience in infrared sensor data collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination processes and techniques
Proficient languages including Matlab, Python, and/or IDL
Active TS/SCI Clearance (will consider Secret Collateral on case-by-case basis)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
