MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-7, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes executing business processes for adhering to Security and Policy Review (S&PR) regulations/policies for the protection, release, and publication of various types of documents containing scientific and technical information (STINFO) associated with the directorate's highly technical research and development (R&D) mission. Conduct reviews/analyses on Public Affairs (PA) clearance request packages; submit complete/accurate packages; and track to completion/approval or initiate appeal process for disapproved packages. Experience in searching the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) site for published documents, using DTIC submission tool to submit the directorate's technical documents for secondary distribution of the directorate's STINFO. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and specialized experience that equal 100% of the qualification requirements are creditable. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-7 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-9 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of laws, regulations, policies, instructions, and procedures Knowledge of Security and Policy Review (S&PR) Program requirements Knowledge of and skill in applying management and administrative philosophies, principles, and practices Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques used to gather, assemble, and analyze facts Skill in applying established precedents and guidelines to assigned work as well as in utilizing various software programs, tool suites, and automation tools Ability to plan and organize work Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
