This position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct Hire Authority, Section 1109; PL, 116-92, dated 12/20/2019 . As a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT at the GS-0303-5 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Provide basic administrative support such as creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs Maintain manual and electronic calendars Input data into automated timekeeping system Serves as a receptionist and point-of-contact for an office Assist management as needed. You may qualify at the GS 05 , if you fulfill the following
Qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Provide basic administrative support such as creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs Maintain manual and electronic calendars Input data into automated timekeeping system Serves as a receptionist and point-of-contact for an office Assist management as needed, OR B. To be considered for a Recent Graduate appointment you must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Complete all requirements for an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous two (2) years; -OR- Complete all requirements for an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution after the close of the announcement but by February 28, 2020 -OR- Veterans who, due to military service obligation, were precluded from applying to the Recent Graduate Program during any portion of the eligibility period described above shall have a full two-year period of eligibility upon release or discharge from active duty. This eligibility period cannot extend beyond 6 years from the date on which the individual completed the requirements of an academic course of study. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
